Lenawee Art Tour: October 7 & 8

ELeigh_Passing_Storm_12x24Area studio artists, art centers, galleries, murals, and a sculpture garden will all be on the Lenawee Byways Art Tour, Saturday and Sunday, October 7th and 8th, 2017, 11 AM – 6 PM both day.

The tour will encompass 20 locations in Adrian, Blissfield, Clinton, Tecumseh and Tipton.  Sites will include:  Adrian Center for the Arts, Carnegie Studios, City of Tecumseh Market on Evans, Clinton Arts Center, Croswell Opera House Gallery, East Adrian’s Community Mural Cooperative, Flatlanders Sculpture Supply and Art Galleries, Hidden Lake Gardens, John D. Wittersheim Sculpture Park, Tecumseh District Library, and 10 artist studios.

The Adrian Center for the Arts and Clinton Arts Center will have art displays, activities and demonstrations.  Hidden Lake Gardens will feature two art exhibits.  Flatlanders will present demonstrations and a new show of founder Ken Thompson’s work.  Tecumseh District Library will have a show of original art work. Croswell Opera House will host an art show of selected local works.

Maps and information will be provided for exploring the John D. Wittersheim Sculpture Park on Siena Heights University campus.  East Adrian’s Mural Cooperative will have maps and information about Martin Morenos’ murals.  Market on Evans in Tecumseh will feature the new mural “Alive”.

Carnegie Studios artists will display art work and offer art demonstrations.  The tour will also include ten selected area artists with independent studios in Adrian, Blissfield, Clinton and Tecumseh areas.

Maps for the event will be available at each location.
